WORKSHOPS FOR KIDS

Theatre for You workshops provide an introduction to interpretation and performance.

Over six or more 1 1/2 hour classes, the young actors take part in theater games and rehearsals of a short
play.  During this time they improve their listening, interaction and cooperation skills, all necessary to stage a
play, as well as to get along in daily life.

Every class participant:
  • Has a part to play
  • Is involved in the creative process of staging the play
  • Helps create simple props and scenery.

The
final class day is SHOW TIME.  Usually held during the regularly scheduled class time the children
perform a short play for an audience of family and friends.  Parents are encouraged to bring a camera.
